CALAMITE combines pulsating grooves with psychedelic soundscapes producing its very own music. Characterised by strong basslines and choir backings with French and English lyrics, they seamlessly fuses elements of Progressive Rock sophistication, Classical impressions and the raw energie of Jazz. This eclectic mix results in songs that are both innovative and deeply engaging, taking listeners on a special musical journey. Berlin 2023! CALAMITE started working on a Jazz-influenced Progressive-Psychedelia sound. Based on songs of Paul Lapp on synthesizer and electric bass and the producing skills of Leon Griese on drums, the band is completed by singer Mathilde Vendramin and Luca Höhmann on flute with various FX pedals and backing vocals. the diverse backgrounds of its four members creates a unique and captivating STyle of Music.

After their first release »demo tape EP» on Bandcamp in May 2024, the second EP »basement session» followed in July 2024 on all streaming platforms. They are currently working on their first album, which will be released on vinyl by Signal Source Music soon.
