SUMMARY:PAMPHLETS + Billy Zach – Rock/ Indie-Rock/Brooklyn/ New York/ Post-Punk/ Hamburg
LOCATION:Noch-Besser-Leben
DESCRIPTION:Singer/guitarist Jeremy Marquez (Brooklyn) and bassist Ben Griffin (Philadelphia) formed the project after connecting through a network of friends. The duo bonded over a shared admiration for contemporaries such as Preoccupations\, Ought\, and Protomartyr\, classic groups like The Fall and Joy Division\, and popular local acts Gustaf\, BODEGA\, and B Boys. They honed a driving\, high-energy punk sound and became notable for their infectious live performances. With their latest EP Cause// Effect released in 2025 they’ve introduced a new phase- leaning towards a heavier sound and sentimental lyricism and aim to push further with a new full length album early 2027. With songs that attempt to speak about the chaos\, uncertainty\, and anxiety of our current moment\, Pamphlets position themselves as an unabashedly political call to action.Billy Zach\; A Post Punk project from Hamburg: Noisy Riffs\, reverbish rooms\, crushing Drums\, pumping bass and some nagging grumbling. A hint of melancholy. Billy Zach is guitar music\; angry and loud\, sometimes melodious\, sometimes oppressive. Billy Zach can be described as the rough sandpaper of the wholesale market named pop music – picturing the smoothing and exhausting character of their songs. Indeed\, contradictions are more often wanted than feared\; no matter if musical counterpoints or lyrical Paradoxes. Billy Zach sets light into dark\, whispers too loud and laughs with tearful eyes. Their music represents how connected and simultaneously torn apart moments can be\, without a raised forefinger.\n\nWeitere Informationen: https://www.leipzig-im.de/veranstaltung/232851/pamphlets-billy-zach
